President Joe Biden’s latest tweet about Republicans and the economy sparked backlash among critics.

“Republicans are doing nothing but obstructing our efforts to crack down on gas-price gouging, lower food prices, lower healthcare costs, and hopefully, soon, lower your prescription drug costs,” Biden tweeted.

He added, “This is not right. And that’s why this election is going to be so darn important.”

This is not right. And that’s why this election is going to be so darn important.

Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) responded, “Joe Biden believes that the American people are fools.”

Former Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R) suggested if Biden “threatens to come down to Georgia before November, every Democrat on the ballot will have a ‘prior commitment’ that day.”

Reality: if he threatens to come down to Georgia before November, every Democrat on the ballot will have a “prior commitment” that day. https://t.co/9mdH8wll7G

Scapegoating. You have the House and Senate majority with reconciliation powers. Republicans have no power to stop a unified Democratic party. https://t.co/7Dn6u5TKpx

Should he blame Republicans?

Americans know the TRUTH Big Guy. No one is buying your blame game. YOU and Democrats OWN INFLATION. Your policies are making it FAR WORSE. https://t.co/mrBLCwV0ta

Stop lying & blame-throwing @JoeBiden! That might boost your dismal approval ratings https://t.co/2bqtdkORDM

Another user brought up a tweet posted by Biden in 2020.

“Here’s my promise to you: If I’m elected president, I will always choose to unite rather than divide. I’ll take responsibility instead of blaming others,” Biden wrote.

He continued, “I’ll never forget that the job isn’t about me — it’s about you.”

The president’s approval rating has dropped to 33%, according to a New York Times/Siena College poll.

Twenty percent of voters said jobs and the economy were the most important problem for the country.

More than 75% of voters believe the economy was “extremely important” to them.

Only 1% called the economic conditions excellent.

Last week, Politico reported inflation is not only crushing Biden’s approval ratings but also threatening to “swamp Democrats in the midterm elections.”

The report also pointed out “many progressives — including some within the administration itself — say Biden’s all-out messaging war against spiking prices is making matters even worse.”
