President Joe Biden is not yet sharing details about whether he has discussed another White House bid with his family members.
During his trip to St. Croix, a reporter attempted to probe the president about whether he had any discussions with his family on the matter.
“Have you talked to your family about running for reelection, sir?” a reporter asked.
Biden joked, “There’s an election coming up?”
“I didn’t know that,” he added.

Biden, 80, has stated he intends to run for president again in 2024.
However, he has not officially announced another campaign.
He has previously stated he wanted to “sneak away for a week” with his family members to discuss another run.
So far, former President Donald Trump has announced his plans for a 2024 campaign.
Meanwhile, other potential Republican candidates are holding off announcing campaigns for now.
In Dec. 2021, Biden was asked during an interview with ABC News if he planned to run again.
“Yes,” he responded. “But look, I’m a great respecter of fate. Fate has intervened in my life many, many times. If I’m in the health I’m in now, if I’m in good health then, in fact, I would run again.”

Journalist David Muir asked, “And if that means a rematch against Donald Trump?”
“You’re trying to tempt me now,” Biden responded with a laugh, adding, “Sure. Why would I not run against Donald Trump if he were the nominee? That’d increase the prospect of running.”
