President Joe Biden made a remark about the 2024 presidential election during the White House’s annual Easter Egg Roll.
“I plan on at least three or four more Easter Egg Rolls. Maybe five? Maybe six?” Biden told “Today’s” Al Roker.
When pressed to give Roker a headline on the 2024 election, Biden replied, “I plan on running, Al. We’re just not prepared to announce it yet.”

A longtime Democratic adviser, who previously worked closely with Biden, told CNN on Friday Biden is “not ambivalent about serving a second term, but he’s in no rush to be a candidate again.”
The adviser added, “What’s the upside?”
One individual told the outlet Biden said to several elected officials in private he is “definitely running.”
White House spokesman Andrew Bates also said to the network, “President Biden has been clear that he intends to run, and his focus is on finishing the work he’s doing for American families: continuing to bring manufacturing back from overseas, further cutting the deficit by having rich special interests pay their fair share, and standing up for fundamental rights like the freedom to choose.”
He continued, “There has never been a timeframe for any announcement.”
According to NBC News, it seems Biden’s campaign headquarters will likely be located in Wilmington, Delaware.
Staff could also potentially work in the Washington area, per the report.
Keisha Lance Bottoms and Cedric Richmond, former senior White House officials, are reportedly being looked at for national co-chairs, according to NBC News.
Jennifer Ridder, a member of Biden’s 2020 campaign, is being eyed as a top contender for a senior role in the campaign.
During an interview, Ridder was asked if she could be tapped for the role.
“That’s very flattering,” she said.
Ridder added, “I think there’s consideration, but they’re certainly talking to a number of people.”
