Biden transition spokesperson Kate Bedingfield says the team is moving forward now that they will be receiving COVID-19 briefings.
Jen Psaki, advisor to the Biden-Harris transition, and Bedingfield were asked for the specifics surrounding the conversations they are having around the coronavirus and what briefings they are looking to hold with the Trump administration.
Bedingfield noted the team has reached out to agencies and the White House to request briefings focused on Operation Warp Speed, vaccine distribution, testing, and the supply of personal protective equipment.
“We’re beginning those briefings today. We expect the remainder to take place immediately after the Thanksgiving holiday. So they are moving forward expeditiously,” Bedingfield said.

Bedingfield explained the agency review teams believe “that they are getting good information and are looking forward to this briefing today and to these additional briefings moving forward.”
