House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) is dismissing the idea of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) as a “serious” lawmaker.
NewsNation’s Blake Burman, moderator of “The Hill,” brought up the Georgia congresswoman with Johnson, saying, “Marjorie Taylor Greene, no fan of yours.”
“Bless her heart,” the speaker responded.
Burman asked, “Is she a serious lawmaker?”
“I don’t think she’s proving to be, no,” Johnson answered. “I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about her, I gotta do my job.”

The exchange comes as Greene is vowing to force a vote to oust Johnson as speaker after the approved foreign aid packages.
On Wednesday, she vowed to call for a vote to oust him next week, as top House Democrats said they would vote to table the motion.
The Georgia congresswoman said she would “want to see that happen. I want a recorded vote.”
“I can’t wait to see Democrats go out and support a Republican speaker and have to go home to their primaries, and have to run for Congress again having supported a Republican speaker,” she continued before adding with air quotes, “A Christian conservative.”
She added, “I think that will play well, I’m excited about it.”
