John Bolton has spent years trying to disguise himself as a conservative while attacking those who don’t believe in his hawkish foreign policy. His latest attack on CNN, where he claimed President Donald Trump “doesn’t know the difference between our allies and enemies,” is not only an outright lie but a disgraceful display of political opportunism.

Bolton has made a career of claiming to be a foreign policy expert, but time and time again, his neoconservative, interventionist instincts have proven disastrous for the United States. He wanted endless wars, costly military engagements and a foreign policy that put American lives at risk with no clear benefit. Trump refused to accept his interventionist beliefs which has led Bolton to try and settle the score ever since.

His most recent smear campaign is especially egregious given the facts. Trump has been crystal clear about who America’s allies and enemies are. Unlike former President Joe Biden, who funded Iran with billions of dollars, emboldened Hamas and cozied up to China, Trump has been firm with our allies and isn’t afraid to punish our adversaries.

Look no further than his staunch support for Israel. As Hamas launched a barbaric war of terror against Israeli civilians, Trump didn’t hesitate to back our closest Middle Eastern ally. He reaffirmed his commitment to Israel, making it clear that the Jewish state has every right to defend itself against genocidal terrorists.

Meanwhile, Trump’s State and Treasury departments just announced massive sanctions against Iran, the world’s number one state sponsor of terror. Iran funds Hamas, Hezbollah and countless other jihadist groups that seek to wipe Israel off the map and target Americans abroad. By cracking down hard on Tehran’s terror financing, Trump has demonstrated a clear and decisive strategy: stand by our friends, and cripple our enemies.

So tell us, John Bolton—where exactly is this supposed “confusion” about allies and enemies?

Let’s not forget his catastrophic record. Bolton was a key cheerleader for the disastrous Iraq War, a conflict that cost thousands of American lives and trillions of taxpayer dollars. He never apologized. He never admitted he was wrong. Instead, he spent years advocating for even more reckless military interventions, including war with Iran, war with North Korea and even military strikes against Venezuela.

Trump was wise enough to see through Bolton’s disastrous, war-hawk agenda. Unlike past presidents who were fooled by people like Bolton, Trump understood that America’s interests come first—not endless foreign entanglements.

And let’s talk about Bolton’s choice of platform—CNN. If he were truly a principled conservative, he wouldn’t be running to one of the most anti-Trump, leftist propaganda networks in America.

The reality is that Trump is the strongest leader America has had in decades. He negotiated historic peace deals, defeated ISIS, strengthened NATO by forcing our allies to pay their fair share and took a hard stance against China’s growing influence. He also recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, a move previous presidents promised but never delivered.

Does that sound like a man who “doesn’t know the difference between allies and enemies”?

The American people rejected Bolton’s warmongering. Trump will continue to stand for peace through strength and a foreign policy that actually serves the interests of the American people.
