It was apparent that 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful Michael Bloomberg came under fire during the Democratic debate in Nevada.

Following Wednesday night’s debate, Bloomberg continued to find himself taking hits from fellow 2020 Democratic. This time, it involved his camp’s memo that urged some of the 2020 Democrats to drop the race so he can take on Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

Bloomberg’s camp wrote in a memo a warning about the current Democratic field, “If Biden, Buttigieg, and Klobuchar remain in the race despite having no path to appreciably collecting delegates on Super Tuesday (and beyond), they will propel Sanders to a seemingly insurmountable delegate lead by siphoning votes away from [Bloomberg],” as IJR previously reported.

When confronted with a question about Bloomberg camp’s memo following the debate, Buttigieg told Fox News that he is not going anywhere and maybe it’s the former New York City mayor that “should step aside.”

“If he thinks there’s gotta be one alternative to Bernie Sanders, I suppose we could find common ground on that. Maybe he should step aside and the person who has the most delegates move on.”

Along with the news of the memo, Bloomberg’s top strategist Kevin Sheekey also warned that there are “dire circumstances.”

Sheekey told Axios, “The fact is if the state of this race remains status quo — with Biden, Pete and Amy in the race on Super Tuesday — Bernie is likely to open up a delegate lead that seems nearly impossible to overcome.”

Buttigieg was not the only one responding to the memo, as Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) also told Fox News, “I’ve been told many times to wait my turn and to step aside, and I’m not going to do that now.”
