Doug Collins Launches 2020 Senate Bid: A Role to ‘Best Benefit GA, the Country and Donald Trump’

Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.) is looking to take his work serving the country to the Senate, as he officially launched his 2020 Senate bid for Georgia.

The Republican lawmaker made the announcement early Wednesday after giving it “serious deliberation.”

“For months, I have given serious deliberation to the role I should serve that would best benefit [Georgia], the country and [Donald Trump],” Collins wrote on Twitter, adding, “Today, I have officially launched my campaign for Senate to do just that.”

The Republican Congressman will have a primary challenge against Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.), who was appointed by Gov. Brian Kemp (R-Ga.) after Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) stepped down from the Senate at the end of 2019 due to health issues.

Collins — a strong supporter of President Donald Trump — is currently one of the eight Congressional Republicans who is on the president’s team for the Senate impeachment trial.

Update. Have received two emails from Chief Spreading Bull Warren and Commie Bernie begging for as much money as I can spare. They both say they are desperate and in order to defeat the Republicans, they need a lot more money. I will not give you my response. I will only say it wasn't money nor polite.

    1. Correct. Got a pile of begging letters in yesterday’s mail from Jim DeMint, to Martha McSally to President Trump and the RNC. Never receive anything from the DNC anymore after I told them some time back I don’t vote for Socialists.
