Tesla CEO Elon Musk suggested Twitter could start charging certain users.

“Ultimately, the downfall of the Freemasons was giving away their stonecutting services for nothing,” Musk tweeted.

He added, “Twitter will always be free for casual users, but maybe a slight cost for commercial/government users.”

Musk made another suggestion for Twitter Blue in a now-deleted tweet, saying, “Everyone who signs up for Twitter Blue (ie pays $3/month) should get an authentication checkmark.”

While walking the red carpet at the Met Gala in New York City on Monday night, Musk made some suggestions as to what he hopes for the social media platform.

“Right now, it’s sort of niche. I want a much bigger percentage of the country to be on it, engaging in dialogue,” Musk said.

During an interview with Vogue, Musk explained he wants to make Twitter “as inclusive as possible and to have as broad a swath of the country and the rest of the world on Twitter and that they find it interesting and entertaining and funny and it makes their life better.”

Additionally, while on the red carpet, Musk commented on concerns of employees leaving the company, as The New York Post reported.

“Certainly if anyone doesn’t feel comfortable with that, they will on their own accord go somewhere else. That’s fine,” Musk said.

Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal commented on potential changes to the company upon Musk’s takeover during a companywide meeting.

“Different organizations have different cultures, but they’ve excelled,” Agrawal said according to leaked audio, as the Post reported. “It will be different here than what it is today, but for the people who are here, it will be worth it to be here.

Last month, Twitter struck a deal with Musk to buy the company for $44 billion.

The deal is expected to close sometime this year.
