How to cook rice on the stove
For anyone cooking without a rice cooker who wants tender, separate grains from a basic pot.
The right water ratio plus unbroken low heat lets every grain soak evenly then finish by steam so the pot stays fluffy instead of sticky or scorched.
Gather: long-grain white rice, cold water, a medium pot with a tight lid, a fine-mesh strainer, a pinch of salt, and a fork.

Step 01
MEASURE one level cup of long-grain white rice and two cups of cold water.

Step 02
RINSE the rice in the strainer under cold running water until the drip runs clear.
