President Joe Biden commented on Gas Prices, suggesting Americans are âgoing through an incredible transition.â
During a joint press conference with Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on Monday, Biden explained, âAnd when it comes to the Gas Prices, weâre going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when itâs over, weâll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over.â
He added, âThe price of gas at the pump is something that I told you â you heard me say before â it would be a matter of great discussion at my kitchen table when I was a kid growing up. Itâs affecting a lot of families.â
Biden noted the administration has âreleased over two hundred and, I think, fifty-seven thousand â million barrels of oil, I should say. Us and the rest of the world we convinced to get involved. Itâs helped, but itâs not been enough.â

During an interview with Fox News, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) blasted Biden, saying, âYeah incredible for you. You fly a damn 747 where the taxpayers pay for you jet fuel.â
He added, âWhat Joe Biden is saying is⌠if you drive a pickup truck to hell with you ⌠Weâre all getting Toyota Priuses.â

He continued, âBiden is incompetent and incoherent, but heâs made one thing very clear: he couldnât care less about the problems heâs caused for your family.â
According to AAA, the current average cost for a regular gallon of gas is close to $4.60.
