Actress and political activist Jane Fonda sees a bright side in the COVID-19 pandemic because she believes it has revealed “who [President Donald Trump] is.”
“I just think COVID is God’s gift to the left,” Fonda said in a video posted on Wednesday. “That’s a terrible thing to say. I think it was a very difficult thing to send down to us.”
She continued, “But it has ripped the Band-Aid off who [Trump] is and what he stands for and what is being done to average people and working people in this country.”
“We can see it now, people who couldn’t see it before, you know, they see it now, and we have a chance to harness that anger and make a difference,” she added.
She also said she is “so blessed to be alive right now.”

Trump has received harsh criticism for his handling of the coronavirus outbreak. He also recently tested positive for the virus, but his doctor says he has made a significant improvement in his condition.
In June, Fonda attacked Trump, during an appearance on CNN, she said, “When Donald Trump was elected, and the Band-Aid was torn off, people could see very blatantly the racism in this country that’s always been there.”
