Country music star Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany Aldean, are set to appear at the 2025 Patriot Awards this Thursday, where they’ll present a new honor named after the late conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder, Charlie Kirk. The event, hosted by Fox Nation, will be held at The Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in Brookville, New York.
The Aldeans will take the stage to present the inaugural Charlie Kirk Legacy Award, which will be given to Erika Kirk, the current CEO and chair of Turning Point USA. Erika Kirk was elected to the role unanimously following the tragic death of her husband, Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed on September 10 while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University. Officials have not yet released a final report on the shooting, but early statements suggest the attack is still under investigation.
The Charlie Kirk Legacy Award will be presented annually moving forward. According to Fox Nation, the honor is meant to recognize individuals who reflect Kirk’s lasting influence on American culture through a commitment to faith, family values, and the defense of free speech. Supporters of Turning Point USA say Erika Kirk has stepped into her new role with grace and determination following her husband’s death.
After the award presentation, Jason Aldean is scheduled to perform a special live set for the audience. He’ll play several fan favorites, including “Try That in a Small Town” and “How Far Does a Goodbye Go.” Both songs have become rallying anthems for many in rural and patriotic communities across the country.
The Patriot Awards, now in their seventh year, were launched by Fox Nation in 2019 as a way to honor veterans, first responders, and everyday Americans who demonstrate exceptional service, sacrifice, and strength of character. The event has grown each year and is now one of Fox Nation’s most celebrated traditions.
This year’s ceremony will be hosted by Fox News personality Sean Hannity and will include a range of special awards, such as the Young Patriot Award, the Benjamin Hall “Honor” Award, the Tunnel to Towers’ Stephen Siller Courage Award, the Salute to Service Award, the Most Valuable Patriot Award, the Heroism Award, and the highly anticipated Patriot of the Year Award.
