Former press secretary to former First Lady Jill Biden said during a recent interview with Fox News that the former President Joe Biden and his family are “allergic to transparency.”

According to the Daily Wire, Michael LaRosa told “Fox & Friends: Weekend” on Sunday that it was difficult to work for the Biden’s during their time in the White House because he could never get a “straight answer” from anyone.

“Fox & Friends” Host Rachel Campos Duffy asked LaRosa about recently released audio of the former president’s interview with then-Special Counsel Robert Hur and if things could have changed if the Bidens had been successful keeping the audio away from public disclosure.

“If you only knew how hard it was — I mean, this was a group in the White House who were allergic to transparency,” LaRosa said. “And I go back to my — and I’m just talking about like just in the East Wing [the First Lady’s office]. I mean, the very first day walking into the White House, the usher was fired and I couldn’t get reporters straight answers because nobody would give me straight answers.”

“It was not intuitive to them, it was not their style, to be transparent about anything,” LaRosa continued. “They took days and months to be deliberative, and I’m talking about the small things. About when the dog bites occurred, or about the wedding with the grandkids. They got caught lying to the press about press coverage because they were so scared to be transparent about anything.”

LaRosa noted that if the Bidens behaved that way over the small things, “what would happen if they were big things?”

Joe Biden recently announced he has an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bones, something physicians have noted would likely have been present at the beginning of his presidency.
