One of the attorneys that represented actor Johnny Depp during his defamation trial against his ex-wife accepted a job with NBC.

On Monday, NBC tweeted, “NEW: Camille Vasquez joins [NBC News] as a legal analyst.”

Vasquez made her first appearance on “Today” to discuss the case surrounding the murder of four Idaho college students.

When asked how strong the case is against the suspect, Vasquez said, “I think it’s extremely strong and the police and investigators are not in the business of telling us everything that they have.”

She explained, “They want to put enough to get probable cause to get a judge to sign a search warrant.”

Vasquez noted the case is one that has gained significant attention.

“I think these investigators do not want to make any mistakes. They do not want to give the suspect any reason to have the case go the way they want it to,” she said.

The attorney previously appeared on “Today” with Benjamin Chew, another one of Depp’s lawyers, in June.

During the interview, “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie revealed her husband had consulted on the Depp case.

“And a quick disclosure, my husband has done consulting work for the Depp legal team, but not in connection with this interview,” Guthrie said at the time.

Vasquez also scored a promotion at the law firm she worked at following the trial, IJR previously reported.

“I’m proud of the uniquely talented team I’ve had the privilege to lead, which exemplified teamwork and collaboration, and I look forward to continuing to represent Brown Rudnick’s culture of excellence,” she said in a statement at the time.

Depp won his defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard.

The jury awarded him $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages.
