A brief and unusual message from Bryon Noem is adding another layer to the controversy surrounding allegations about his online activity.
According to the New York Post, as scrutiny intensified, Noem offered a short response when approached for comment by a reporter from The New York Times.
“I will at some point. Today is not the day. I appreciate your heart,” he wrote in a text exchange, signaling that he may address the situation publicly in the future but declining to do so now.
The statement comes as reports continue to circulate about his alleged involvement in online fetish communities.
According to those reports, Noem, 56, exchanged messages and sent money to multiple women connected to a niche subculture often referred to as “bimbofication.”
That community centers around exaggerated physical aesthetics, particularly the pursuit or admiration of dramatically enhanced features.
Images tied to the allegations have also drawn attention. In several photos described in reports, Noem allegedly appears wearing a tight, flesh-colored crop top that had been altered with balloons to mimic an exaggerated figure.
His face was visible in a number of the images, making the photos a focal point of the controversy.
Noem is the longtime husband of Kristi Noem, the former head of the Department of Homeland Security.
The couple has been married for decades, and the unfolding situation has placed renewed attention on their personal lives.
In a recent hearing in March, the former governor was questioned about an alleged affair with Corey Lewandowski, a former advisor to President Donald Trump, who worked as a special government employee under Noem.
While the reports have generated widespread discussion, Bryon Noem has so far avoided offering a detailed response, instead leaving open the possibility that he will speak more fully at a later time.
For now, his brief message stands as the only direct comment from him, even as questions continue to mount.
