White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany is denying reports suggesting President Donald Trump asked Attorney General William Barr to investigate Hunter Biden.
“No, he has not. The president wants these things to be looked into, and the media is really the avenue that should be doing that at this point,” McEnany told reporters.
She added, “It’s up to the attorney general as to how he pursues this, and the FBI, but we just want justice and we want the American people to have a full picture of what’s at stake.”
McEnany thanked the reporter for asking the question saying it is not often the media asks about the situation with Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his son.
She reiterated the media should be looking into the allegations against Hunter Biden, especially because the election is less than two weeks away.

McEnany’s comments come just days after Trump told “Fox & Friends” Barr needs to look into a New York Post report alleging Hunter Biden introduced his father to an executive for Ukrainian energy company Burisma the same time he was vice president, as IJR previously reported.
“We have got to get the attorney general to act. He’s got to act and he’s got to act fast,” Trump said. “This is major corruption and this has to be known about before the election.”
Former Biden associate Tony Bobulinski held a press conference on Thursday to reveal what he knew about Biden and his son’s foreign relationships, as IJR previously reported.
“I have heard Joe Biden say that he’s never discussed business with Hunter. That is false. I have first-hand knowledge about this because I directly dealt with the Biden family, including Joe Biden,” Bobulinski said.
Biden spokesman Andrew Bates released a statement to Politico denying the allegations just hours after the report was published.
On Wednesday, the former vice president denied the reports again calling the allegations a “last-ditch effort” by Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani.
