President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump hosted his former personal attorney Michael Cohen for a friendly interview in a Thursday episode of “The Right View with Lara Trump.”

The host opened the interview by noting that Cohen had reached out in a “very frustrated” state after nearly a decade without contact between them. She asked what he had been going through and why he wanted to appear on her podcast after so long.

“[M]y own Democratic party has started to pull away from me because I refuse to answer into a narrative that ascribes to their ideology,” Cohen said. “But the reason I reached out to you, and I was so thankful, Lara, to be honest with you, that your response was so gracious. I mean, it is nine years since we used to sit down and engage in conversation.”

“Somewhere along the way, we as a society have allowed politics to convince us that if you sit down with someone who maybe holds a different view, well, then it must mean that you agree with them on everything, and that’s simply obviously not so, and that’s not how democracy works,” he added. “And so, I thought that having a conversation with you would be something worthwhile.”

The host agreed with Cohen. They also reminisced about working together at The Eric Trump Foundation.

“The reason you’re here and the reason that you wanted to have a conversation with me is you’ve, it seems like, been feeling a lot of pressure and almost like you’ve been cancelled in a way by Democrats who at one time embraced you because you refused to go along with their narrative as it relates to [deceased sex offender] Jeffrey Epstein and President Trump,” the president’s daughter-in-law said.

Cohen has refuted claims related to Trump’s alleged relationship with Epstein, including during appearances on CNN and MS NOW in 2025.

He said on Trump’s podcast that the left wanted him “to invent facts for a political narrative,” but he was unwilling to do so. The host commended Cohen for staying firm on the Epstein issue and lamented that they had not spoken for such a long time.

Moreover, Cohen said he was working on launching a podcast called “Across the Aisle” with Trump-aligned activist Laura Loomer and Rumble. He said the goal of it was for people to have civil discussions with individuals who hold different views.

Loomer did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

Cohen also predicted that Trump’s enemies would face accountability for alleged legal violations during several appearances on MS NOW in 2025.

Furthermore, Cohen asserted in a Jan. 16 Substack post that prosecutors “pressured” him to curate his testimony against Trump to help get a conviction. He is widely perceived as an unreliable witness and has a history of admitting to lying under oath.

Cohen testified in May 2024 that Trump both directed him to make a payment for a nondisclosure agreement with porn star Stormy Daniels and agreed with the reimbursement plan beneath the falsifying business document charges at the center of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s criminal case. A jury in Manhattan convicted Trump later that same month.

Trump’s former personal attorney said during a Jan. 29 episode of “PBD Podcast” that he still loved the president, despite being “insanely angry with him for allowing others to interfere with the relationship.”

He also said during “PBD Podcast” that it pained him how Trump’s daughter Ivanka avoided him when she saw him in New York City on multiple occasions.

Host Patrick Bet-David told Cohen he should call Trump on the phone. Cohen said he would do so.

The president’s daughter-in-law concluded the interview by thanking Cohen for contacting her and appearing on her show.

“I hope that there’s more of this to come,” she said.

Cohen requested an invite to her Fox News show “My View with Lara Trump.”
