Filmmaker Michael Moore is dishing out harsh criticism to American voters who chose to support President Donald Trump.
“As to why our fellow Americans did not repudiate and renounce Trump yesterday in an overwhelming and massive way — why nearly 70 million Americans still embrace a bigot and a psychopath — well, we must have that discussion soon as to who we REALLY are. Shameful. Apologies to our Black brothers and sisters, and apologies to the rest of the world,” Moore wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday.
Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden feels confident he is headed toward victory after clinching Wisconsin and Michigan, as IJR previously reported.
“Now, after a long night of counting, it’s clear that we’re winning enough states to reach 270 electoral votes win the presidency,” Biden said while delivering remarks in Delaware on Wednesday.
He added, “I’m not here to declare that we’ve won. But I am here to report when the count is finished we believe we will be the winners.”
In order to win the presidency, Biden needs to win Arizona and Nevada.
Trump still has a shot at winning the race.
He needs to hold onto North Carolina, Georgia and Maine’s second congressional district.
North Carolina election officials said on Wednesday the state’s results will not change until Nov. 12 or 13, when all mail-in ballots are received.
Winning Pennsylvania and Arizona is crucial for Trump.
The president’s campaign declared victory in Pennsylvania on Wednesday despite votes that have yet to be counted, as IJR previously reported.
“VICTORY for President Donald Trump in PENNSYLVANIA,” White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany wrote on Twitter.
Twitter added a flag to her tweet.
“Official sources may not have called the race when this was Tweeted,” the flag reads.
Eric Trump similarly tweeted, “We have won Pennsylvania!”
