President Donald Trump was praised Wednesday for the strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities Saturday.

According to Fox News, NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte called Trump a “man of strength” and a “man of peace.”

“I just want to recognize your decisive action on Iran,” Rutte said at the 2025 NATO Summit. “You are a man of strength, but you are also a man of peace. And the fact that you are now also successful in getting this ceasefire done between Israel and Iran — I really want to commend you for that. I think this is important for the whole world.”

Rutte also sent messages to Trump, thanking him for doing “something no one else dared to do.” Trump then shared the message on social media.

“Congratulations and thank you for your decisive action in Iran, that was truly extraordinary, and something no one else dared to do. It makes us all safer,” Rutte wrote.

The praise for Trump extended to his effort to have NATO members to pay more.

“It was not easy but we’ve got them all signed onto 5 percent! Donald, you have driven us to a really, really important moment for America and Europe, and the world. You will achieve something NO American president in decades could get done,” Ritter wrote.

“Europe is going to pay in a BIG way, as they should, and it will be your win,” he added.

Other leaders spoke out about Trump’s actions.

“Iran’s nuclear program is a grave threat to international security. Iran can never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon, and the US has taken action to alleviate that threat,” U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer posted on X. “The situation in the Middle East remains volatile and stability in the region is a priority. We call on Iran to return to the negotiating table and reach a diplomatic solution to end this crisis.”

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney also commented on X about the importance of peace.

“Iran’s nuclear programme is a grave threat to international security, and Canada has been consistently clear that Iran can never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon,” Carney wrote. “While U.S. military action taken last night was designed to alleviate that threat, the situation in the Middle East remains highly volatile. Stability in the region is a priority.”

“Canada calls on parties to return immediately to the negotiating table and reach a diplomatic solution to end this crisis. As G7 leaders agreed in Kananaskis, the resolution of the Iranian crisis should lead to a broader de-escalation of hostilities in the Middle East, including a ceasefire in Gaza,” he added.
