Vice President Mike Pence is declaring President Donald Trump the winner of the first presidential debate against Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden based on his vision for the nation alone.
“I think when you compare the Biden-Harris agenda with what President Donald Trump has done and will continue to do for America, there’s no question who won the debate,” Pence said during a campaign event in Nevada.
He added, “President Donald Trump won the debate hands down with an agenda that puts America first and in 26 days we’re going to win another great victory when we re-elect President Donald Trump for four more years.”
Pence touched on his own experience debating Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Kamala Harris on Wednesday night in Salt Lake City, Utah.
“Some people think we did alright,” Pence said.

Pence emphasized the vice presidential debate was not a debate between two candidates, instead, it was a debate between “two visions.”
He accused Biden and Harris of wanting higher taxes, open borders, socialized medicine, to abolish fossil fuels, to use taxpayer dollars for abortion, to defund the police, and to pack the Supreme Court.
“President Trump’s vision, we’ve rebuilt our military, we cut taxes, we roll back regulations, unleash American energy. We secured our border, stood with law enforcement and for life and liberties of every American,” Pence said.
The second presidential debate scheduled for Oct. 15 will be virtual, as IJR previously reported.
Trump voiced his opposition to the idea and said, “I’m not going to do a virtual debate. I’m not going to waste my time on a virtual debate.”
In response to Trump’s decision, Biden’s campaign announced he would participate in an ABC News town hall to field questions from voters on Oct. 15, as IJR previously reported.
