He may be British royalty, but Price Harry as considered becoming a U.S. citizen.

The 39-year-old Duke of Sussex was asked by “Good Morning America’s” Will Reeve about life in America. The interview aired Friday.

“It’s amazing,” Prince Harry said. “I love every single day.”

The conversation took place this week during the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025’s One Year to Go celebration in Canada.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle relocated to California almost four years ago when the stopped being  working members of the royal family.

When Reeve asked if the prince felt American, Prince Harry replied, “Do I feel American? Um, no. I don’t know how I feel.”

Prince Harry said he “considered” becoming a U.S. citizen, but said with everything else going on, it wasn’t a “high priority.”

“I’m here standing next to this with these guys and the American citizenship is a thought that has crossed my mind but certainly not something that is a high priority for me right now,” he said.

Markle said she would become a British citizen, but never did, citing the difficulty of the citizenship exam.

In her Archetypes podcast, Markle said, “That citizenship exam is so hard! I was studying for it, and I remember going, ‘Oh my goodness.’ I would ask my husband, ‘Did you know this? Did you know this?’ And people went, ‘Oh, I had no idea,’” People reported.

According to the government website, the test lasts 45 minutes and gives prospective citizens 24 questions about British customs and traditions.

Prince Harry recently returned to the U.K. after his father, King Charles III, was diagnosed with cancer.

“I spoke to him. And I jumped on a plane and went to go see him as soon as I could,” Prince Harry said. “Look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane, go and see him, and spend any time with him — I’m grateful for that.”

He said he is sure to return.

“I’ve got other trips planned that will take me through the U.K., or back to the U.K., and so I’ll stop in and see my family as much as I can,” he said, according to “Good Morning America.”

When Reeve asked directly about his father’s health, he said, “That stays between me and him,” People reported.

The Invictus Games are a paralympic-style competition for wounded service members that Prince Harry founded.

Prince Harry and Markle live with their two children, Archie, 4, and Lilibet, 2.
