John Paul Mac Isaac, the repairman left with Hunter Biden’s laptop, has filed a defamation lawsuit.
According to The New York Post, Mac Isaac filed the multimillion-dollar lawsuit against House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), CNN, the Daily Beast and Politico on Tuesday.
The Post noted Mac Isaac filed the lawsuit after losing his business and facing harassment for a period of 18 months.
“After fighting to reveal the truth, all I want now is for the rest of the country to know that there was a collective and orchestrated effort by social and mainstream media to block a real story with real consequences for the nation,” Mac Isaac said.
He added, “This was collusion led by 51 former pillars in the intelligence community and backed by words and actions of a politically motivated DOJ and FBI.”
Mac Isaac told the Post he wants the lawsuit “to reveal that collusion and more importantly, who gave the marching orders.”
During an interview with Fox News, Mac Isaac explained how the public’s reaction to his decision to give the contents of the laptop to the FBI and former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani affected him.
“Once the story was out and my name was leaked to the public, it had been a matter of at first running and hiding. Now it’s trying to just rebuild my life and then do it in a manner that’s not restricted by public opinion of me being involved in some Russian disinformation campaign,” Mac Isaac said.
Fox News explained last month the story on Hunter Biden’s laptop “was widely dismissed as unreliable and even Russian disinformation by mainstream print and television outlets, especially MSNBC and CNN, and in an astonishing display of coordination, Twitter and Facebook blocked or limited sharing of the New York Post’s article about Biden.”
The report continued, “Twitter even locked the New York Post out of its account for weeks.”
Tesla CEO Elon Musk slammed the social media platform for temporarily suspending the account, as IJR reported.
“Vijaya Gadde, the top censorship advocate at Twitter who famously gaslit the world on Joe Rogan’s podcast and censored the Hunter Biden laptop story, is very upset about the [Elon Musk] takeover,” a reporter tweeted.
Suspending the Twitter account of a major news organization for publishing a truthful story was obviously incredibly inappropriate
