Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who worked as an armorer on the movie “Rust” will spend the next 18 months in prison for the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

Gutierrez-Reed, who found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in October 2021, was Monday by Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer. She will spend her incarceration at a New Mexico women’s correctional facility, per People.

Gutierrez-Reed, 26, addressed the court before she was sentenced.

“First and foremost, my heart aches for the Hutchins family and friends and colleagues as well, and it has since the day this tragedy occurred,” she said, adding, “I understand that she was taken too soon, and I pray that you all find peace.”

Gutierrez-Reed was in charge of prop guns on the film starring and co-produced by Alec Baldwin. Baldwin was holding the gun when it went off and killed Hutchins on Oct. 21, 2021, in New Mexico.

The armorer admitted she was “young and naive” when she took the job. She said she was “saddened by the way media sensationalized our traumatic tragedy and portrayed me as a complete monster, which has actually been the total opposite of what’s been in my heart.”

Jurors found Gutierrez-Reed liable in March for the death of Hutchins. She was cleared of tampering with evidence.

Baldwin, 66, is charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter. He has pleaded not guilty and could receive up to 18 months in prison if found guilty. His trial is set for July.

According to a report from NBC News, Gutierrez-Reed called jurors “idiots” and “a–holes” in recorded jail phone conversations.

She also complained jurors took only two hours to deliberate, according to a filing by prosecutors.

“According to the prosecutors’ filing, the jail calls include mentions of other inmates saying, “I can’t believe they threw your pretty little white ass in here for nothing,” per NBC News.

Regarding witnesses, Gutierrez-Reed said they lied, adding,  “she didn’t need to be shaking the dummies all the time,” the filing said.

“Hannah thinks the producers should be in jail while complaining about first assistant director Dave Halls and how he ‘f—ed Hannah to save his own ass,’” the filing said.
