Actor Tim Allen angered critics after posing a question about “wokees” on Twitter.

On Monday, Allen tweeted, “Who is the face of woke. Do wokees have a club house in someone’s backyard or maybe a cute yet safe playpen somewhere?”

One user fired back, saying, “No [Tim Allen]. Like ‘anifa,’ ‘Wokeness’ is a political boogey man, created by [MAGA Republicans] to fool a cult of racist rubes into thinking wokeness IS a problem but Fascism is not.”

The tweet continues, “But, Timmy, American Nazis DO have a face. Pucker up coke head.”

No @ofctimallen.

Like “anifa,” “Wokeness” is a political boogey man, created by #MAGARepublicans to fool a cult of racist rubes into thinking wokeness IS a problem but Fascism is not.

One user suggested Allen’s tweet is the “boomerest boomer tweet of all time.”

The references to cocaine and snitching refer to Allen’s arrest in 1978 for selling the drug to an undercover officer at Kalamazoo-Battle Creek International Airport, as The Daily Mail reported.

He was originally facing a sentence of life in prison, but only served 28 months after he “agreed to cooperate with investigators and snitch on 20 others – including four major dealers,” the outlet explained.

During an episode of the WTF with Marc Maron podcast in 2021, Allen commented on the incident.

“I was an eff up,” the actor said.

He added, “After my old man died, I really just played games with people and told adults what they wanted to hear and then stole their booze.”

Reflecting on his time in prison, Allen continued, “I just shut up and did what I was told. It was the first time ever I did what I was told and played the game… I learned literally how to live day by day. And I learned how to shut up. You definitely want to learn how to shut up.”

At the time of the episode, Allen shared he was going on 23 years sober “and clean of everything.”
