Former President Donald Trump has called for the Supreme Court to “intercede” in his legal battles, a day after he pleaded not guilty in a federal court on Thursday.
In a post on Truth Social on Friday morning, Trump lamented how he had been hit with a “barrage of weak lawsuits” which were draining him of his “time and money” he could be using to put towards his election campaign. Trump’s post comes a day after he appeared in federal court in Washington, D.C., for charges related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
“It is Election Interference, [and] the Supreme Court must intercede. MAGA!” Trump wrote in his post.

Trump, who is vying for the Republican nomination in the upcoming 2024 presidential election, is running against candidates such as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, former Vice President Mike Pence, and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott (R), and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R).
On the Democratic side, President Joe Biden, author Marianne Williamson, and environmental lawyer Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are running.
“CRAZY! My political opponent has hit me with a barrage of weak lawsuits, including D.A., A.G., and others, which require massive amounts of my time & money to adjudicate,” Trump wrote, referencing Biden and the newest charges Trump faced from Special Counsel Jack Smith.
On Tuesday, Trump was indicted for a third time by a grand jury. Prior to this, Trump was indicted in early June and hit with 37 charges relating to willful retention of national defense information, conspiracy to obstruct justice, and making false statements.
Trump was then again hit with three additional charges by Smith on July 27. These additional charges were related to Trump’s mishandling of classified documents. The filing from July alleges that Trump deleted security tapes from his Mar-a-Lago residence.
“Resources that would have gone into Ads and Rallies, will now have to be spent fighting these Radical Left Thugs in numerous courts throughout the Country,” Trump said, adding that he was leading in “all Polls, including against Crooked Joe.”
