Former President Donald Trump received a warm welcome hours after he was arraigned in Washington, D.C.
On Thursday, Trump appeared in a federal court to plead not guilty to charges stemming from Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
After returning to his Bedminster club in New Jersey, the former president made an appearance at a wedding that was taking place there.
A video from the moment showed the attendees cheering as Trump walked in, and soon the cheers turned to chants of “USA.”
Meanwhile, Trump could be seen smiling and shaking hands.
“I heard so much about this couple,” he said of the bride and groom.
Trump added, “The bride is totally beautiful, and you’re even more beautiful today.”

Hours earlier, Trump was reportedly frustrated when the judge presiding over his arraignment simply referred to him as “Mr. Trump.”
Yet, in a post on Truth Social, he insisted, “CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT I HAD TO FLY TO A FILTHY, DIRTY, FALLING APART, [and] VERY UNSAFE WASHINGTON, D.C., TODAY, [and] THAT I WAS THEN ARRESTED BY MY POLITICAL OPPONENT, WHO IS LOSING BADLY TO ME IN THE POLLS, CROOKED JOE BIDEN, IT WAS A VERY GOOD DAY!”
“Biden [and] Garland file bogus cases against me so it becomes difficult for me to campaign. Nothing like this has every [sic] happened before. Must be Unconstitutional? BUT SOMEHOW, WE WILL WIN IT ALL!!!” he wrote in another post.
