Fox News host Bret Baier was pulled over and ticketed by a Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officer in a video that surfaced on social media on Tuesday.

President Donald Trump announced a federal takeover of Washington, D.C.’s Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) to combat crime in the District of Columbia on Aug. 11. Baier said the incident came about while he was driving his wife’s car at the time of the incident.

“I picked up my ringing phone as I drove past an officer while driving my wife’s car in Georgetown,” Baier posted on X after the video taken by a Washington, D.C., realtor began making the rounds on social media. “He pointed to have me pull over- I did. He was very professional. I had to dig for the registration card. Got a ticket and left. I didn’t know there was paparazzi.”

Trump announced the takeover days after Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) staffer Edward Coristine, known by the moniker “Big Balls,” was severely injured when he intervened to stop a mob from carrying out a carjacking.

The video, which is set to the instrumental track of “Jump Around” by House of Pain, shows Baier being pulled over by an officer, who appears to be handing him the ticket.

Baier previously went viral after a video of him performing “Rapper’s Delight” by Sugarhill Gang on stage during a Rascal Flatts concert appeared on social media in June.

At least 212 arrests have occurred since Trump ordered the crackdown, roughly half of which took place in Wards 8 and 9, which reportedly account for nearly three-fifths of D.C.’s homicides.
