President Donald Trump wants reporters to stop being so negative in their questioning.

During a press conference on Sunday, PBS’ Yamich Alcindor asked Trump about comments he recently made, where he appeared to doubt that New York needed as many ventilators as officials in that state have requested.

“Why don’t you act in a little more positive way? Trump responded, adding, “It’s always trying to get you, get you, get you. And you know what, that’s why no one trusts the media.”

He continued, “Excuse me, you didn’t hear me, that’s why you used to work for the Times, and now you work for somebody else. Look, let me tell you something, be nice. Don’t be threatening. Don’t be threatening, be nice.”

During an interview on Fox News’ Sean Hannity’s show on Thursday, Trump addressed the issue of the number of ventilators New York officials have requested.

“I don’t believe you need 40,000 or 30,000 ventilators. You know, you go into major hospitals sometimes they’ll have two ventilators, and now all of a sudden they’re saying, ‘Can we order 30,000 ventilators?’”

Trump said that the country would continue to produce and deliver ventilators, but appeared to suggest that hospitals are hoarding ventilators and questioned whether New York hospitals have enough ventilators already.
