President Donald Trump acknowledged on Friday he has made mistakes on the popular social media platform Twitter with the content he has decided to tweet and retweet.
Barstool Sports’ founder Dave Portnoy asked Trump if he ever regrets sending out a tweet.
Trump recognized moments where he wished he had not tweeted.
“Often, too often. It used to be in the old days before this, you’d write a letter and you’d say this letter is really big. You put it on your desk and then you go back tomorrow and you say, ‘Oh, I’m glad I didn’t send it,’ right?” Trump said.
He added, “But we don’t do that with Twitter, right? We put it out instantaneously, we feel great, and then you start getting phone calls, ‘Did you really say this?’ I say, ‘What’s wrong with that?’ and you find out a lot of things.”

Trump told Portnoy it is the retweets that land him in hot water.
Portnoy turned his attention to the president’s retweets and suggested Trump does not even look at the tweets, he just presses retweet and fires “from the hip.”
“You see something that looks good and you don’t investigate it and you don’t look at what’s on the helmet exactly, right, which is a miniature and you don’t blow it up, and sometimes… I have found almost always it’s the retweets that get you in trouble,” Trump said.
Portnoy asked Trump if he “loves doing Twitter.”
Trump said “there are times” when he loves it and sometimes he loves it “too much.”
He said the platform has been “very important” for him.
Trump unleashed his latest Twitter attack on his niece, Dr. Mary Trump, amid the release of her tell-all book, “Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man,” as IJR previously reported.
