Trump Vows To ‘Fight on’ and ‘Win’ After SCOTUS Rules Prosecutors Can Obtain Tax Returns

Former President Donald Trump is blasting an investigation into his business dealings as a “continuation of the greatest political Witch Hunt” after the Supreme Court ruled that prosecutors can obtain his tax returns.

In a statement after the ruling on Monday, Trump said, “This investigation is a continuation of the greatest political Witch Hunt in the history of our Country, whether it was the never ending $32 million Mueller hoax, which already investigated everything that could possibly be investigated.”

He noted that former Special Counsel Robert Mueller said his team was not able to find evidence of collusion between members of his 2016 campaign and Russian operatives to swing the election. Additionally, he noted that the Senate voted to acquit him in two impeachment trials.

Trump then turned his attention to an investigation conducted by prosecutors in New York City who are probing potential tax, bank, and insurance fraud in his company.

The U.S. Supreme Court rejected Trump’s request to put a hold on a lower court ruling that required his accounting firm Mazars USA to hand over his tax returns to a grand jury that was empaneled by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance.

“The Tea Party was treated far better by the IRS than Donald Trump. The Supreme Court never should have let this ‘fishing expedition’ happen, but they did. This is something which has never happened to a President before, it is all Democrat-inspired in a totally Democrat location, New York City and State, completely controlled and dominated by a heavily reported enemy of mine, Governor Andrew Cuomo,” Trump claimed.

Read the statement below:

“The new phenomenon of ‘headhunting’ prosecutors and AGs—who try to take down their political opponents using the law as a weapon—is a threat to the very foundation of our liberty. That’s what is done in third world countries. Even worse are those who run for prosecutorial or attorney general offices in far-left states and jurisdictions pledging to take out a political opponent. That’s fascism, not justice—and that is exactly what they are trying to do with respect to me, except that the people of our Country won’t stand for it.”

Finally, he said, “I will fight on, just as I have, for the last five years (even before I was successfully elected), despite all of the election crimes that were committed against me. We will win!”

  1. Isn’t the disclosure of income tax a standard practice among US Presidents? I voted for Trump. I think he should disclose. I know I as well as other millions of America love President Trump but a requirement is required to hold the office of POTUS. By the way, has Biden disclosed his federal tax returns? Time to submit returns Presidents!

  2. I am laughing at these responses. Every left-leaning PRESIDENT TRUMP-hating person is so blinded by the hate for PRESIDENT DONALD J TRUMP. That they will not even try to look at their own party. It always points the finger and shifts blame. AS IF!!! the democratic party can do or has never done wrong.

my only answer is: CLEAN UP YOUR OWN HOUSE before you say mine is dirty.

    1. You are confusing normal resistance and opposition, Arthur. Hate takes too much effort. I don’t hate President Who? because he isn’t worth that kind of effort. Now, his POLICIES and his racism and ignorance, THOSE are worth resisting.

    2. “That they will not even try to look at their own party. It always points the finger and shifts blame.” Arthur

As YOU just tried to deflect, project and use whataboutism all in one sentence, Arthur? Come on! Democrats DO have their own serious problems, but you and I both know that President Who? is dragging this out for a reason.

“AS IF!!! the democratic party can do or has never done wrong.” Arthur

YOU are the one saying that, Arthur, as part of your right-winger pity party. When was the last time that YOU criticized President Who? OR the American Fascist Party?

  3. Trump committed real crimes as he waged his war to defeat his electoral defeat. As to resisting a federal subpoena, he or his so-called lawyers already knew or should have known that US v. Nixon commanded then-President Nixon to turn over the tapes of his conversations that he surreptitiously made, notwithstanding executive privilege. Even though his so-called lawyers will seek protective orders, we all know that his returns will be leaked by someone.

The public will learn that Trump lied about his net worth, his debts to at least one German bank and to Russian oligarchs, his inflation of the value of his properties on loan applications v. how much lower his valuation of those same properties for income tax purposes, all of his payments to bimbos to keep them quiet, his entire so-called empire amounting to a mountain of debt that has made him politically vulnerable for years.

Trump’s a crook, a vulgar self-congratulatory huckster who violated the laws of Georgia, New York, and screwed construction workers who built his Tower and his New Jersey casino by invoking Chapter 11 and paying only a fraction of what he owed. 43 R senators ignored the fact that, just as he was charged in the Impeachment’s allegations, Trump called Georgia’s Secretary of State some 18-19 times to harangue and threaten him into violating Georgia’s voting laws despite three recounts, the evidence of which was irrefutable. Let Trump rot in the only place he belongs during his retirement–state and/or federal prison.

  4. “the never ending $32 million Mueller hoax, which already investigated everything that could possibly be investigated.” President Who?

Oh, I can think of a few more things to investigate that the weak Democrats choose to ignore. 😉

  5. Now how dense is one required to be to believe the Manhattan D.A. has been looking at Trump’s taxes for 2 years when Trump has publicly announced his intentions to repeatedly challenge Vance’s efforts to obtain Trump’s tax returns? Even his most ardent supporters are aware this is his SECOND time LOSING at turning over the subpoenaed documents. WHAT does the IRS have to do with the Manhattan D.A.’s office?
