President Donald Trump had to go an alternate route to Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) after a “suspicious object” was found Sunday.

The U.S. Secret Service (USSS) found the object when performing advance sweeps at the airport in Florida. This led to the motorcade taking another route to get to the airport, per The Hill.

“During advance sweeps of PBI Airport, a suspicious object was discovered by USSS. A further investigation was warranted and the presidential motorcade route was adjusted accordingly,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.

As a result, Air Force One parked on the opposite side of the airport from where it usually does.

The lights outside the plane were off when the president arrived.

USSS spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi said the alternative route was taken as a precaution and is “standard protocol,” The Associated Press reported.

During the drive, police officers on motorcycles formed a moving blockade for the motorcade. Are one point, they almost collided with the vans in the motorcade.

When reporters asked Trump about the object, he replied, “I know nothing about it.”
