As President Donald Trump’s first 100 days come to a close Tuesday, eyes are on what could happen after that.
According to White House officials, that means looking at trade deals and peace talks, Reuters reported. And, in four words — “torpedoes under the water.”
Trump has been busy the past three months by tackling tariffs, transgender rights, job cuts, court cases and peace talks.
He is set to go to Michigan this week to commemorate his 100-day milestone.
One official commented on Trump’s whirlwind start to his second administration.
“Every morning I wake up, it’s like living in a dreamscape,” he said.
While some praise Trump’s accomplishments, others denounce him for what he has done for human rights and how he had turned allies into enemies.
There is more to come, one official said, adding, there’s a lot of “torpedoes under the water.”
The president is still working on a travel ban for those from many outside countries.
Courts stepped in one some issues as the White House responds with those actions being contrary to the executive branch of government and in direct opposition of those who voted for Trump.
Trump’s administration is hopeful in securing agreements for reciprocal tariffs in 90 days. Experts are not as hopeful since no deal has been made to date.
