Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson responded to reports that former First Lady Melania Trump was pushing for him to be her husband’s running mate.
While speaking at a Christmas gala hosted by the American Principles Project Foundation, Carlson was asked about an Axios report that claimed Melania Trump wanted him to be former President Donald Trump’s pick for vice president in the 2024 election.
“God would have to yell at me very loud,” Carlson said, according to Semafor, The Hill reported.

“I don’t know her, really,” Carlson said of Melania Trump. “To go from being, like, a well-paid street corner schizophrenic to, like, a politician – it’s just kind of hard to envision.”
During an interview on “The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show,” in November, former President Trump had expressed fondness for Carlson, praising his “great common sense.”
“I like Tucker a lot,” Trump said when asked by hosts Buck Sexton and Clay Travis if he would consider picking Carlson to be his running mate if chosen as the Republican presidential nominee. “I guess I would. I think I’d say I would.”
Carlson recently revealed in an interview with Roseanne Barr that he became an “active” Trump supporter when the FBI conducted its raid on the Mar-a-Lago residence in August 2022.
