Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson revealed the moment when he became an “active” supporter of former President Donald Trump.

During an interview with Roseanne Barr on Thursday, Carlson shared that he “became an active Trump supporter” when the FBI raided the former president’s Mar-a-Lago residence in August 2022. Carlson revealed that prior to being a Trump supporter he had “always agreed” with Trump’s policies, though he had never really “actively” supported a candidate.

“I became an active Trump supporter when they raided Mar-a-Lago last summer, the summer of 2022,” Carlson revealed. “That can’t stand.”

“I agree with Trump on a lot,” Carlson continued. “But, even if I disagreed with Trump on a lot, I’d still be a Trump supporter because you can not allow that. You can not allow the regime, the president of the United States to use the Justice Department to knock the frontrunner out of the race.”

During the raid of Mar-a-Lago, the FBI discovered 20 boxes of binders, a handwritten note, an executive grant of clemency for Roger Stone, information about France’s president, and binders full of photographs.

Additionally, the FBI retrieved 11 sets of classified documents after obtaining a search warrant when Trump failed to hand over 15 boxes of documents, per a request from the National Archives and Records Administration.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed that all the documents had been “declassified” and that the FBI “didn’t need to ‘seize’ anything.”

Carlson continued to point out that this was “bigger than Trump” or President Joe Biden.

“It’s a question of, ‘Do you want to live in a free country with a functioning justice system?'” Carlson said. “So, I’m voting for Trump. And, if they convict him I will send him the max donations and I will lead protests. That’s how I feel.”

In January, classified documents from when Biden had served as vice president under former President Barack Obama, were discovered at a think tank in Washington, D.C.

Several other documents from his time as vice president and senator were discovered at his Wilmington, Delaware home. Biden’s residence in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware was also searched by the FBI.

“And, by the way, if I thought that he had committed some real crime, I wouldn’t feel that way. But, he didn’t,” Carlson added about Trump. “He and Biden are both found with classified documents at home, along with every other former high-level federal official in history, but only Trump is indicted? Like, tell me how that works.”
