Vice President Kamala Harris is not “inept,” despite how Fox News portrays her, according to a co-host of ABC’s “The View.”
On Wednesday, “The View” guest co-host Ana Navarro dismissed speculation President Joe Biden would not run for re-election in 2024 and urged Democrats to “stop talking about how old he is.”
“And Kamala Harris is going to be your vice president. So stop fretting, stop wringing your hands, and get behind your ticket. Because on the other side, the alternative is Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis,” she added.
Navarro suggested Democrats were “playing right into the hands of Fox News” by raising questions about Biden and Harris as she said, “Fox News, every single day, goes after Kamala Harris trying to portray her as inept and some kind of bumbling fool.”
“She’s not!” Navarro continued, adding, “That’s not who she is. And so Democrats have to go come out and reinforce Kamala. They’ve got to stop playing into the hands of these people who cannot stand that she is the first woman, the first woman of color vice president and don’t want her to succeed.”
She added, “And by the way, her husband is great, too.”

"On the other side, the alternative is Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis. So, you tell me what you prefer," she scolded.

Co-host Sunny Hostin stated she is “surprised” there is concern about Harris because, “Black women get everything done. We’ve saved this country’s democracy for centuries.”
She also shared she believes “a lot of it has to do with that she’s a Black woman.”
Meanwhile, co-host Sara Haines pointed out Fox News is not the only outlet to highlight moments when Harris stumbled while speaking.
“‘The Daily Show’ had this reel that played cause they were saying this is the new episode of ‘Veep,'” she explained.
She added, “It was like repetitive moments … for me, when I see a leader, I want to feel like I’m going to be OK. Obama was brilliant at this. When you saw him speak, there was a charisma, a confidence, a safety in hearing him. There are people who don’t have that.”

"You could take Winston Churchill out of context and make a video and a clip and a loop. They do it with us every day," she screeched. pic.twitter.com/weDEku0uVk
However, Navarro insisted famed British Prime Minister Winston Churchill could be taken out of context to look bad.
“They do it with us every single day,” she stated.
Finally, Navarro praised Harris for delivering an “incredible speech” on climate change.
