
Jordania, oficialmente el Reino Hachemita de Jordania, es un país de la región del Levante meridional en Asia Occidental. Jordania limita con Siria al norte, Irak al este, Arabia Saudita al sur, e Israel y Palestina al oeste. El río Jordán, que desemboca en el mar Muerto, se encuentra a lo largo de la frontera occidental del país dentro del valle del Rift del Jordán. Jordania tiene una pequeña costa a lo largo del mar Rojo en el suroeste, separada por el golfo de Áqaba de Egipto. Amán es la capital y la ciudad más grande del país, así como la ciudad más poblada del Levante.
