During his commencement speech at the Coast Guard graduation, President Joe Biden attempted to crack a joke but did not receive the response he was expecting.
“I can only assume that you’ll enjoy educating your family about how the Coast Guard is ‘The hard nucleus around the Navy forms in times of war,'” Biden said on Wednesday.
Upon not receiving an applause, he said, “You’re a really dull class,” which drew laughs from the crowd.
He asked, “I mean come on, man. Is the sun getting to ya?”
“I would think you’d have an opportunity when I say that about the Navy to clap,” he added.

Biden recently raised eyebrows for a response he gave to a reporter who tried to ask a question about the ongoing conflict in Israel.
During an event at Ford’s electric vehicle facility in Michigan, the president test-drove Ford’s electric F-150 Lightning pick-up truck.
One reporter asked him, “Mr. President, can I ask you a quick question on Israel before you drive away, since it’s so important?”
“No, you can’t. Not unless you get in front of the car as I step on it. I’m only teasing,” he said before driving away.
