Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) is taking aim at Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).

MSNBC’s Chris Hayes mentioned the push by Republicans to quickly fill the Supreme Court vacancy after the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The push comes 39 days until the 2020 presidential election, as of Friday.

Graham has indicated that Senate Republicans have the votes to confirm a replacement, and this week he also blew off criticism of hypocrisy as some pointed to his previous remarks regarding filling a Supreme Court vacancy in 2016.

In response, Warren said during Thursday evening’s interview, “Lindsey Graham has simply said, ‘Donald Trump has my proxy on this. The Senate doesn’t need to look at it.’”

She continued, “If the President is good, Lindsey Graham is good. Man, there’s a man with a spine. A spine kept in a box somewhere else because he certainly doesn’t have it to exercise for himself.”

During her MSNBC interview, Warren also took a swing at President Donald Trump and his recent remarks where he would not commit to a peaceful transition of power if he loses the election.

“When Donald Trump says that he is not necessarily going to accept the will of the voters, he’s flirting with treason,” she said. “He’s saying peaceful transition of power doesn’t matter to him. All that matters to him, once again, is Donald Trump and whatever Donald Trump wants.”

She added, “And for Republicans, once again, to step up, these Republican senators to enable him in that, to support him in that and to start to talk about the November 3rd election, as if this isn’t about voters getting their choice, but it is about Supreme Court justices getting their choice means that they are a party to it.”

As the president was leaving the White House on Thursday, he was asked, “Are the election results only legitimate if you win?”

“We have to be very careful with the ballots. The ballots that’s a whole big scam,” he responded, adding, “We want to make sure the election is honest, and I’m not sure that it can be. I don’t know that it can be.”
