The New York Post was hacked and shocking fake headlines published by the paper are circulating on Twitter.

One headline about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) stated, “We must assassinate AOC for America.”

Another published a fake headline about Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) calling New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) a “fried chicken eating monkey.”

A headline about Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) claimed he said, “I will order Border Patrol to start slaughtering illegals.”

Violence against anyone is wrong.

The threat of #cybersecurity is real… & we still don’t know what happened in 2016.

I urge the NY Post & @Twitter to take immediate action to address today’s threats of violence & prevent future attacks. https://t.co/VqUtqNDf0L

But also…Your handle just threatened the lives of the President and his family and multiple elected women and said racist things about the mayor and outlandish things about union members…and many people didn’t notice the difference…food for thought. https://t.co/rhQxgRHCML
