Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne previously vowed to leave the United States, but it appears he is changing his tone.

Ozzy Osbourne spoke about about the issue during an interview with Consequence magazine.

“To be honest with you, if I had my way, I’d stay in America,” he said.

The singer added, “I’m American now… to be honest with you, I don’t want to go back. F**k that.”

His wife, Sharon Osbourne, shared her experience first arriving in the United States.

“When I first came here, I thought I was in heaven,” she said.

According to Sharon Osbourne, “In the ‘70s, if you loved music, this was the place to be. It’s not that hub anymore. It’s not exciting anymore. It hasn’t gone sideways, it’s gone down. It’s not a fun place to live. It’s dangerous here. Every big city’s got crime, but I don’t feel safe here. Neither does Ozzy.”

Ozzy Osbourne’s comments mark a shift in tone after revealing over the summer why he wanted to leave the country, as IJR reported.

“Everything’s fing ridiculous there. I’m fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert… It’s fing crazy,” he explained while speaking to The Observer.

Additionally, the rock legend said he did not want to “die in America. I don’t want to be buried in f***ing Forest Lawn.”

He told the outlet at the time he wanted to move back to the U.K., adding, “But saying that, if my wife said we’ve got to go and live in Timbuktu, I’ll go.”

Sharon Osbourn said at the time the move had nothing to do with her husband’s health.

“America has changed so drastically. It isn’t the United States of America at all. Nothing’s united about it. It’s a very weird place to live right now,” she said.

Page Six noted Ozzy Osbourne has faced a series of health issues, including suffering from neck injuries following a 2003 quad biking accident and a fall in 2019 that injured his back.
