President Joe Biden reportedly wanted to remove a famous piece of furniture from the Oval Office because former President Donald Trump used it.

The New York Post reports — according to an excerpt from the forthcoming book “The Fight for His Life” by Chris Whipple — the 46th president “let loose” on the “former guy” while giving a friend a private tour of the White House.

“Biden unleashed his ire on an upstairs room where Trump had installed a big-screen TV and a golf simulator that allowed him to practice his swing to the virtual backdrop of famous courses,” the Post reports.

Whipple’s book shares Biden lashed out at Trump as he exclaimed, “What a f***king a**hole.”

Additionally, the current president reportedly wanted to remove the historic Resolute Desk — because Trump used it — and replace it with the desk used by Franklin D. Roosevelt.

However, Whipple explained Roosevelt’s desk “couldn’t be moved from the Roosevelt estate at Hyde Park, NY.”

As The Washington Post notes, “Named after the HMS Resolute, the British ship from which it was crafted, the desk was given to President Rutherford B. Hayes by Queen Victoria of England in 1880.”

The Resolute Desk has been used by every president since Jimmy Carter — except George H.W. Bush.

Presidents tend to make changes to the Oval Office’s decor to fit their tastes, so there’s nothing too outrageous about wanting to change up the furniture.

And a desk is, frankly, just a desk.

It would have been one thing if Biden just believed the Resolute Desk was ugly, or too grand, or not his style.

And it would have been one thing if he wanted to change the desk because he sees himself as a modern FDR.

But it is kind of petty a desk that has been used by almost every president since Jimmy Carter and has been in the White House since the 1800s, was seen as such a horrible reminder of one president that Biden wanted it gone.

It’s as if Biden was saying despite all the work previous presidents did — including former President Barack Obama — while sitting behind the desk, Trump was just so bad it is all he can think about when he sees it.

Some joked in 2020 Biden would need to “fumigate” the White House after Trump left — and it seems the idea may have stuck with him somewhat.
