Pop star Britney Spears revealed how she and singer Justin Timberlake hid her medical abortion in her new memoir.
According to an excerpt from her newly released book, “The Woman in Me,” Spears, 41, went into detail on how she hid her abortion from everyone besides former boyfriend Timberlake, 42, and her former assistant Felicia Culotta.
“It was important that no one find out about the pregnancy or the abortion, which meant doing everything at home. We didn’t even tell my family. The only person who knew besides Justin and me was Felicia who was always on hand to help me,” she wrote, per People.
Spears added, “I was told, ‘It might hurt a little bit, but you’ll be fine.'”
The “Everytime” singer also opened up about the traumatic aftermath.
“On the appointed day, with only Felicia and Justin there, I took the little pills. Soon I started having excruciating cramps. I went into the bathroom and stayed there for hours, lying on the floor, sobbing and screaming,” she shared.

Spears noted Timberlake tried to comfort her after it was over.
“Justin came into the bathroom and lay on the floor with me,” she continued. “At some point, he thought maybe music would help, so he got his guitar and he lay there with me strumming it.”
Last week, People confirmed Spears had an abortion while dating the former *NSYNC bandmate for three years, which she confessed to in her memoir.
“I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated,” Spears wrote.
However, she revealed Timberlake was “definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy.”
“He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young,” she continued.
Spears, who is now a mother of two teenage boys, expressed her regret over her decision.
“If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father,” she shared.
Spears continued, “To this day, it’s one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life.”
