Federal prosecutors say a longtime educator in upstate New York was secretly running an illicit operation out of his home for years, all while working in local schools.

Authorities allege that Eric Simpson, 66, organized and hosted a series of so-called “prostitution parties” at his residence in Macedon from 2021 through late 2025, per the New York Post.

Simpson, who taught technology in the North Rose-Wolcott Central School District, is accused of promoting and managing the gatherings, which prosecutors say involved arranging for sex workers to attend and interact with guests.

According to a federal indictment filed March 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York, Simpson “regularly promoted, managed, and carried on prostitution parties” at his home.

The charging document alleges he coordinated logistics for the events, including organizing attendees, managing space inside the home, and directing visitors where to park to avoid drawing attention.

Prosecutors also claim Simpson used email to advertise the gatherings, circulating information about which individuals would be present and instructing attendees on how to arrange payments, described in messages as “donations for services.”

He allegedly imposed a “cover charge for admission” and oversaw accommodations for guests during the events.

Simpson, identified in court papers by the nickname “Major Hands,” is a retired member of the New York National Guard, where he served for nearly three decades. His military career included deployments to Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan before he concluded his service as a commissioned officer in 2010.

After leaving the military, Simpson worked in education, including as a substitute English teacher in Monroe County, before taking on his most recent role in the North Rose-Wolcott district.

School officials said he resigned from his teaching position in January, according to a statement cited in local reporting.

Simpson now faces one federal count of using interstate facilities to “promote, manage, establish, carry on and facilitate a prostitution enterprise.”

He was arraigned on Wednesday and entered a plea of not guilty.
