Sempra Signs First South American LNG Deal with Petrobras — 9hPetrobras has signed a 20-year LNG offtake with Sempra Infrastructure for about 0.8 million tonnes per year from Port Arthur LNG Phase 2 in Texas, making Petrobras the first South American buyer in Sempra’s LNG portfolio. The deal supports Phase 2’s expansion to roughly 26 Mtpa of capacity by 2030–2031, alongside existing contracts with ConocoPhillips, JERA, and EQT that underpin the project’s financing.

Solstad Offshore Reports USD62M Normand Valiant ContractBusiness — Aug 26, 2026Solstad Offshore (via SOFF) has secured a two-year Petrobras contract for the Normand Valiant to provide accommodation services on Brazil’s continental shelf, starting in the fourth quarter of 2026 and valued at about USD 62 million. The walk-to-work vessel, with 120-person capacity, will be bareboat-chartered from Soma, reinforcing Solstad’s role in Brazil’s offshore market.
