Georgia Mother Sues Universal Over Son's Coaster Injuries

Healey proposes nurse visits for new families after Clancy trial

Maura Healey unveiled plans to expand postpartum care by funding universal nurse home visits for all newborn families and updating maternal mental-health screenings, building on her 2024 maternal-health law and the Lindsay Clancy trial discussions. The package, including about $2 million for visits and $250,000 to strengthen the Child Psychiatry Access Program, aims to normalize care for new mothers and identify mental-health concerns earlier.
