It appears former President Donald Trump was too swift in accepting an endorsement by singer Taylor Swift.
Thatâs because most of the photos Trump posted on Truth Social announcing Swiftâs endorsement of Trump were generated by artificial intelligence, per the HuffPost.
Some of the screenshots Trump shared showed women wearing âSwifties for Trumpâ T-shirts.
One post on X, formerly Twitter, declared, âThe Swifties For Trump movement is real!â
Trump shared a photo collage in which the post id clearly labelled âsatire.â
Another fake picture showsSwift dressed as Uncle Sam with the text, âTaylor wants YOU to VOTE for Donald Trump.â
âI accept!â Trump wrote.
However, it is not clear if Trump was referring to photos of the AI-generated âSwiftiesâ supporting him or the fake endorsement from the pop superstar.
Two of the photos in the post are legitimate. They show Jenna Piwowarczyk wearing a âSwifties for Trumpâ shirt at a Wisconsin campaign rally.
Piwowarczyk is a Trump supporter.
Swift has not endorsed a candidate in the 2024 race.
Swift criticized Trump took on social media regarding how he handled the Black Lives Matter protests in 2020.
âAfter stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? âWhen the looting starts the shooting startsâ??? We will vote you out in November. @realdonaldtrump,â she wrote.
She also went after Trump for his âcalculated dismantlingâ of the U.S. Postal Service.
âHe is WELL AWARE that we do not want him as our president. Heâs chosen to blatantly cheat and put millions of Americansâ lives at risk in an effort to hold on to power,â Swift wrote in August 2020.
