ABC News suspended national correspondent Terry Moran Sunday, hours after he attacked White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller, according to multiple reports.

Moran attacked Miller in on X early Sunday morning before deleting the post in which he called Miller “a world-class hater.” ABC announced the suspension hours after White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt hoped the network would take action, according to CNN.

“ABC is going to have to answer for what their, again, so-called journalist put out on Twitter in the wee hours of the night, calling Stephen Miller vile,” Leavitt told “Sunday Morning Futures” host Maria Bartiromo. “They said that President Trump is a world class hater – Stephen Miller. And this is, again, coming from someone who is supposed to be an unbiased and professional journalist.”

Moran previously demanded Trump call El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele to bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an alleged MS-13 member, back to the United States, during an interview with the president in the Oval Office. Abrego Garcia did return to the United States in order to face charges in a federal court in Nashville related to human trafficking.

ABC News hosts Linsey Davis and David Muir were criticized for making so-called “fact checks” on President Donald Trump more often than then-Vice President Kamala Harris during their sole debate in the 2024 presidential election. While Harris made multiple misstatements during the debate, including about abortion and Project 2025, according to Check Your Fact, Muir and Davis did not interrupt or “fact check” her during the debate.

ABC settled a defamation lawsuit filed by President Donald Trump after “This Week” host George Stephanopoulos called Trump a “rapist” during a contentious March 2024 interview with Republican Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina.

“The most important fact about Terry’s full public meltdown is what it shows about the corporate press in America,” Miller posted on X Sunday morning. “For decades, the privileged anchors and reporters narrating and gatekeeping our society have been radicals adopting a journalist’s pose. Terry pulled off his mask.”

ABC News and Moran did not immediately respond to requests for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation. The White House declined to comment further on the matter.
