Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams (D) is offering another reason why a woman may want to get an Abortion.
Abrams appeared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Wednesday, and columnist Mike Barnicle confronted her about what seems to be a lack of interest in the issue of Abortion compared to Gas Prices or inflation.
“What could you do as governor to alleviate the concerns of Georgia voters?” he asked.
Rather than simply focusing on economic methods of addressing inflation, Abrams used the question to talk about the alleged need for access to Abortion.
“Let’s be clear, having children is why you’re worried about your price for gas. It’s why you’re concerned about how much food costs,” she said.
Abrams went on:
“For women, this is not a reductive issue. You can’t divorce being forced to carry an unwanted pregnancy from the economic realities of having a child. And so it’s important for us to have both-and conversations. We don’t have the luxury of reducing it or separating it out.”
