Actor John Schneider has written a film about American values and opened up about why he believes Hollywood would not produce it.
The âDukes of Hazzardâ star spoke with Newsmax about his film titled, âTo Die For.â
When asked whether it was fair to assume Hollywood would not touch the pro-American film, Schneider replied, âOh my gosh. They wouldnât spend any money to develop it. They certainly wouldnât film it, they wouldnât distribute it, but my wife and I are fiercely and unapologetically independent.â
He continued, âSo, we make our own content. We also distribute our own content.â
According to Schneider, they are âall in.â
He added, âIf this movie doesnât work, we lose everything, but weâve always been there. You know, I believe, if youâre not all in, youâre out.â

On what inspired him to make this film, Schneider explained, âI read a story about a year ago about a gentleman who defied a restraining order that said he couldnât drive within 300 yards of a local high school with the American flag on the back of his truck, but he did it anyway, and he went to jail.â
Additionally, Schneider argued that âpeople are afraid to go . I donât understand that. I donât understand why conservatives are timid when it comes to this. My belief is that you can only be pushed so far, and they have pushed us so far that we have got to do something.â
The movie will be available to stream on Thursday.
The filmâs website has issued a warning saying it is âintensely patriotic. If patriotism and love of country offend you in any way⌠watch this film⌠then move somewhere else.â
Earlier this week, Schneider tweeted a sneak peek of his film.
He wrote, âOnly a few more days until the release of my latest film, âTo Die Forâ. Since no one will speak up, we decided we would and we hope you can support it with us.â
